Future Forward winners Vienna 2025
BLICKFANG is not only a stage for established labels, but also a chance for the designers of tomorrow. With the Future Forward Award, presented in cooperation with the D.E.S.I.G.N. Foundation, BLICKFANG 2025 honors young talents who are shaping the future of design with fresh ideas, sustainable concepts, and bold approaches.
In Vienna, two labels are celebrating this distinction—both demonstrating just how diverse and forward-thinking young design can be today.
The Form Follows
When functional clarity meets subtle sensuality, the design of The Form Follows emerges. Founded by Anna & Michael Trubrig and featuring designs by Iris Papst, Pia Kirchler, and Klemens Schillinger, the studio creates furniture that is thoughtful, durable, and yet full of poetry.
Their designs are characterized by a timeless formal language, modular functionality, and refined material contrasts. Whether sideboards, shelving systems, or tables—each object integrates seamlessly into everyday life without demanding attention, while remaining relevant for years to come.
Clear lines and joyful color palettes are a defining feature, lending playful lightness to a minimalist aesthetic. In this way, The Form Follows combines precise craftsmanship with emotional design—creating furniture that is as functional as it is inspiring.
Insa Decker
Behind BABERETI is designer Insa Decker, who addresses a fundamental question with her design: How can we create furniture that lasts through all phases of life? Her solution is as simple as it is ingenious—four modules that can be transformed in moments into a bench, bed, shelf, or table.
The idea grew out of Decker’s own experience of numerous moves during her studies, when furniture often couldn’t come along. With BABERETI, she developed a concept that is lightweight, adaptable, and durable—a system that adjusts effortlessly to new living situations.
Made from regional woods and consciously designed to be repairable and reused, BABERETI becomes a reliable companion through life’s changing stages. It represents a design philosophy that brings together mobility, sustainability, and personal expression.
