Future Forward winners Stuttgart 2026
Every year, the BLICKFANG trend scouts set out in search of exceptional labels and forward-looking design ideas. Particularly promising newcomers receive a subsidized exhibition space through the D.E.S.I.G.N. Foundation as part of the Future Forward award. This gives young talents the opportunity to present their creative visions to a wide audience—and to show how design can combine responsibility, innovation, and aesthetics.
This year in Stuttgart, two winners will once again enrich the scene with their innovative concepts: ante up from Vienna and RUND Biomodular Design from Berlin.
ante up
The Vienna-based design studio ante up stands for circular product and furniture design, where sustainability is considered from the very beginning. Materials, usage, and reuse form the foundation of all their designs. On this basis, durable products are created, tested in the studio, and accompanied through to implementation.
The collection includes furniture and home accessories, as well as design-thinking workshops and product development. With a clear focus on eco- and circular-design principles, ante up creates objects that are not only functional and aesthetically appealing but also part of a closed-loop system. Since its founding in 2020, ante up has established itself as a relevant studio within the network of sustainable and circular design projects—and will present its thoughtfully developed concepts at BLICKFANG 2026.

RUND Biomodular Design
With RUND, a young label at BLICKFANG Stuttgart demonstrates how radically innovative sustainable design can be today. Instead of producing, it grows: modular furniture is created from mycelium—the root system of mushrooms—and industrial by-products, resulting in fully biodegradable objects that are surprisingly strong in design. The bio-based composite material requires no synthetic additives and offers a genuine alternative to plastics, foams, and traditional wood-based materials.
RUND rethinks material from the ground up, combining circular economy principles with a sculptural design language. Within a few days, the mycelium material grows into almost any desired shape, producing eco-positive, modular objects that unite material innovation, sustainability, and aesthetic design. RUND sees itself as an open system for research, design, and collaboration, showing how living materials can move from experimental stages to practical applications.

Future Forward 2026 at a glance
Once again, BLICKFANG demonstrates how young designers are shaping the future: with responsible concepts, innovative materials, and a clear focus on sustainable lifestyles. From circular product design to biodegradable material innovations, these newcomers show that creative design is already presenting the solutions of tomorrow.
